You get your own IP address so you are not sharing with spammers or XXX sites, and if you are not technically minded their 24/7 friendly helpful support staff can answer your queries within minutes. He gave me some cheap excuse “Since this operation requires one to be very cautious and diligent as it can lead to data loss and a broken website”.
Incredibly low level of support – I’m moving out and go back their competitors that provide good service and real security.

The Scalahosting employees almost always either completely fix my website issues or help positively direct me to find the right answers. I don’t think I could navigate website ownership without their help because a lot of other hosting/website companies are so stingy with their customer service. I appreciate that I don’t have to pay premium for their help and that the help is high quality.
I initially signed up with Scala Web Hosting after seeing a recommendation from a well-known digital marketer. The onboarding process was smooth, and their team was eager to assist with the migration from my previous Canadian hosting provider. At first, things seemed promising.
However, just two weeks into the service, one of my websites experienced a significant cyberattack, followed shortly by attacks on my remaining sites. I escalated the issue via a support ticket, which eventually reached the CTO. Their advice was to use a third-party service like Cloudflare and activate “under attack” mode a solution that felt contradictory to the robust, built-in protection Scala claimed to offer.
What troubled me most was that despite paying a premium for what was marketed as a secure, managed VPS solution, I had to seek external help to keep my websites online. During the five years I hosted with my previous Canadian provider, such issues never occurred. Any potential threats were proactively mitigated, and I was always informed.
Throughout my one-year contract with Scala, I experienced multiple DDoS attacks that severely impacted uptime and performance. Sadly, this led to the permanent loss of one of my websites and significant downtime for two others. While the Scala support team was responsive and generally courteous, it became clear that the technical capabilities especially around security did not meet expectations.
In the end, I felt more like the one managing the service rather than benefiting from a truly managed solution. For businesses seeking genuine peace of mind and reliable security, I cannot recommend Scala Web Hosting based on my experience
Support staff is fast, efficient, and very helpful. I’ve been using their hosting services for years and I don’t regret my choice. Best hosting I’ve gotten in years and no plans on ever leaving. Hosting is very reliable as well, I haven’t noticed a single instance of downtime in all the years I’ve been with them.
These guys are crazy about support; in my 15+ years dealing with hosting providers, I have not seen this level of support. We have asked for custom adjustments to our VPS, third-party backup integration, and a couple of questions about Spanel functions. Everything was done and fine-tuned by the support team. Special thanks to Vlad for his personal dedication and help in finding solutions to our requests. It’s important to mention that we had extensive communication with the support team because we had specific requirements for our VPS, as we are running a custom-made platform website. That is to say, if you have a WordPress, Joomla, or other popular CMS, you might not even need to talk to them other than to migrate your website – everything is straightforward.
As for the managed VPS we have with Scala Hosting, it is very fast; the NVMe SSD storage does make a difference. Everything works just fine. Previously, we were on a dedicated server, but it was not flexible and lacked support, so we felt that we were overpaying. With Scala Hosting, it seems both our concerns are addressed: flexible configurations, affordable prices, and support around the clock. Highly recommend!

I just switched to ScalaHosting from another host I was with for 20+ years when things started going downhill. I was struggling to decide if I should move from the Scala4 shared server to the new VPS with sPanel. Had to move about 40 client’s websites. Transfer went very well and it was free. There were some difficult outside settings in the DNS and other items with some of the websites, but all was solved in 10min. I can’t thank the support here from getting us through the new stuff. They responded quickly and were able to make the dns changes that we were struggling with. Answered our questions very quickly and even when a setting was not exactly what we thought..they responded so fast to make it work for us. Moving from one server to another and also to adapt to a new control panel… could not have gone better because of the help we got from the Scala Support team.

Been using Scalahosting for about a year. Starting well, great support always helping and great prices.
Now recently they’ve increased their prices by quite a bit and support has IP blocked me from using their chat even though I was never rude. When I’ve bypassed the IP block and asked for simple help about pointing a domain to another IP they claim this is impossible since the other IP uses a different nameserver which to me makes no sense.
Will be looking for a new host for my business now.
